Meet Sam and Tyler – a couple who met through mutual friends and their shared love for hockey. As their engagement photoshoot approached, they knew they wanted their photoshoot to capture their personalities and the essence of their relationship. After some research and scouting, they decided on Boom Island Park in Minneapolis as their photoshoot location.
Boom Island Park offers the perfect mix of city views and nature, making it an ideal location for an engagement photoshoot. With stunning views of the Mississippi River and the iconic downtown Minneapolis skyline, the park is a picturesque backdrop for any photo session. The park also boasts a wide range of flora and fauna, from the colorful wildflowers to the lush greenery, providing plenty of opportunities for unique photos.
As a local photographer, I know a handful of locations in the Twin Cities area that you can take your engagement photos at from city views, to nature, to adventure spots not too far from the cities, and more! However, Boom Island Park has a special place in my heart due to its combination of natural beauty and urban charm.
During Sam and Tyler’s photoshoot, we captured some playful shots of them enjoying the park’s open spaces, and the greenery provided a perfect backdrop for some more intimate and romantic photos.
As the sun began to set, we made our way towards the riverfront where we could capture the stunning views of the Minneapolis skyline. The reflections on the water made for a truly breathtaking view. We wrapped up on the bridge that goes over the Mississippi river.
If you’re planning an engagement photoshoot in the Twin Cities, I highly recommend considering Boom Island Park. With its perfect mix of natural beauty and city views, you’re sure to capture some unforgettable memories together!
