When Jenn found me on TikTok, I knew I was about to meet an amazing couple. After we hopped on a Zoom call, I could see how much love and joy they shared, even from behind a screen. Jenn and Tanya were looking for an intimate elopement, something that reflected their down-to-earth personalities and fun-loving spirit. They were keeping it a secret from most of their friends and family, only sharing the news the day after at their open house since they had just bought a house in Minneapolis.
Before their elopement, they wanted to add an at-home photo shoot of just the two of them together. We had a blast during that session, and I knew their elopement was going to be something special.
On the day of their elopement, we met at the brand new Four Seasons Hotel in Minneapolis, where they got ready together, and their kids joined them to help them get into their wedding dresses.
Their hotel room overlooked the city, and Jenn and Tanya shared a first touch before turning the corner and seeing each other for the first time in their wedding dresses. It was such a beautiful and emotional moment that I couldn’t help but get caught up in the magic. We then headed over to the Waterpower park in Minneapolis for their ceremony, which overlooked the Mississippi River. It was a serene and stunning location, perfect for an intimate ceremony.
Jenn and Tanya’s friend served as their officiant, and they performed a beautiful hand-tying ceremony right before saying “I do” and making it official. We took some stunning photos in the field nearby, capturing the love and intimacy between them. It was evident that they were completely in love and had an undeniable chemistry.
Jenn and Tanya’s elopement was all about love, intimacy, and fun. They were surrounded by only their closest family members and friend, making it a truly intimate and personal experience. They continued their celebration with dinner reservations and had the perfect end to their special day.
As a photographer, I love helping couples plan out their perfect elopement, filled with their favorite activities and things. The possibilities are endless, from hiking to boating, sharing a private picnic, or any other activity that reflects the couple’s personalities and interests. Jenn and Tanya’s elopement was a perfect reflection of who they are, and it was an absolute pleasure to capture their special day.
