Utah Salt Flats Elopement | Maggie + Alex

The Utah Salt Flats have been on my bucket list for YEARS (especially photographing a Utah Salt Flats elopement!!). I almost eloped at the Utah Salt Flats myself when I was planning my own wedding (but COVID had other plans).

That’s why I was so stoked when I got to go see the beautiful landscape with my beautiful friend Maggie and her husband Alex (and their very cute dog Aspen)!

About 1.5 hours west of Salt Lake City Utah, kind of in the middle of nowhere, lies the simple yet one of the most unique landscape of Utah – the Bonneville Salt Flats.

We went at the beginning of April which provided the perfect weather for us to sit outside our cars in camping chairs while eating dinner and catching up before taking portraits at sunset.

During the summer months at the salt flats it can get VERY very hot, upwards of 90-100° F.
