I met Maggie in high school when we both went to DeForest High School near Madison, Wisconsin. Maggie was always known for being so kind to everyone around her and having a big heart for animals. This lead her to going to school to become a vet at UW-Madison where she met the love of her life, Sam. The two bonded over the love for farming and cows and soon closer than ever. A few years down the line, they decided to get married at their local church and celebrate at Harvest Moon Pond for their reception! Which was actually the SAME wedding venue that I got married at about 1.5 months before them! How crazy is that!?
The morning of the wedding, Maggie texted me that she was loosing her voice from the night before and wanted to save it enough for her vows. We stopped to grab her some orange juice to help soothe her throat to give back her voice. She spent the morning trying to whisper to save her voice and when it was time to say her vows the only thing that mattered was Sam standing in front of her with their loved ones in the church pews.
I knew some of the bridal party before I arrived from high school and from meeting Maggie and Sam’s family before. This made hanging out and capturing photos of them so special and I even got to film a classic bridal party getting ready TikTok on the sister’s account – SO MUCH FUN!
You can see in Sam’s face when Maggie walks down the aisle that he was so happy to be marrying the love of his life right there and then.
You could literally feel the love in the room all day at their wedding, it was such an honor to be there in their presence and witness their love for each other and all of their family and friends.
