Jarett and Kassie’s wedding was on a cool summer day at the Van Dusen Mansion in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Their wedding included a beautiful patio with cafe lights for their cocktail hour and reception where they also held their first dances under the lights before moving inside and getting the party started with a wedding party dance on the dance floor. Getting married at a mansion is not something every couple can say – but Jarett and Kassie sure can!
This was a special wedding for me to be a part of and photograph because I met Jarett in college when we both worked for University Housing at the University of Wisconsin-Stout in Menomonie, Wisconsin. I soon thereafter met Kassie, who was his girlfriend at the time and wife now. She had such a kind heart and started working at the local Humane Society where I started volunteering at in my free time to spend more time with animals. One of my first couples photo shoots was of the two of them, just for fun, before they got engaged.
The two met in college when they lived on the same floor in Wigen Hall their sophomore year. It didn’t take long for them to realize that they were meant to be together. They love that they work well together as a team and balance each other out. Jarett and Kassie love to go on nature walks together (me too!!) and take their dogs with them to go hiking and swimming when they can! Kassie’s big love for animals has grown on Jarett as well over time.
Congratulations Jarett and Kassie Yach!
